-Alena Woods, Ramsey
“One of my go-to spots is Kuppi Coffee in Edgewater. It’s great if I’m doing a low-key meetup with friends, and its location on the water makes it an ideal place if I need to unwind by myself with a book and a latte.”
-Darius Amos, Englewood
“The Ramsey Farmers’ Market is the best in the area. It’s inside Smith Middle School in Ramsey until the end of March and then reopens outside in June at the downtown Ramsey train station.”
-Elaine Jones, Ramsey
“Harriman State Park is great: there are lots of hiking trails and I go there often. The Celery Farm in Allendale is a good local spot to get a walk in and see some wild life.”
-Susan Karsiotis, Allendale
“Raymond’s in Ridgewood for a bite, and then off to Ramapo Reservation for a hike!
-Carrie Martin, Ramsey
“I love the New City Library! It is 1000 times better than any branch of the New York City Public Library. They have so many books there. As a kid, it helped foster my love of reading and now as an adult, it’s such a haven.”
-Diana Tenenbaum, New City
“Sutter’s Mill is one of my favorite spots to grab a burger in Suffern. Sutter’s is freshly renovated, but still offers its guests a casual and laidback dining experience. No frills, honest food, and local color are the ingredients that make this one of Rockland’s hidden gems.”
-Aaron Myl, Airmont
“Olé Olé in Suffern is great on Friday and Saturday nights: there is usually a friendly crowd and the restaurant has a DJ. Orange Lantern in Paramus is nice, too. They have live bands on Saturday nights.
